It is with overwhelming joy, I introduce to you my labor of love Privileged Butik. Fashion has been a fiery passion of mine for a lifetime. I couldn’t have chosen a better month to make history than during this recognition of black excellence and entrepreneurship. 

Privileged embodies Freedom. Freedom to Become, Freedom to Think and Freedom to choose. Freedom from giving any "Fucks" about what others think or prescribe for you and FREEDOM to stop poking holes into what is already whole - You.  It’s about believing in yourself, trusting yourself, thinking for yourself, deciding for yourself and knowing that you are more than enough and have everything on the inside you need to achieve whatever your heart desires – we lack nothing. At the core of Privileged is Purpose and the audacity to think you can, so you do.

I hope that through my designs and curated collections women and girls coming into their own around the world are inspired and empowered to move away from being "underprivileged" “under-served" "under-estimated”, “unsupported”, “overlooked”, “at-risk" , “rejected” or “insecure” into becoming unapologetic and believing they can face their fears.  I hope that through knowing they are already Privileged they have the freedom to express their life however they so choose and do it in their own way, in style of course. 

It is my desire that through my statement ready-to-wear, contemporary style and elegant designs that I create and source quality and alluring pieces that will make people F.E.E.L good – made with Freedom, Elegance, Excellence and Love.

We Style February 8, 2017 22:57

It was such an honor to support Freedom and Fashion's 2016 REIGN Runway Show in partnership with the Junior League of Los Angeles.  We had the opportunity to style gorgeous volunteer models in original one of a kind fashion designed by the prevailing next generation of young leaders.  These youth have such a tremendous story of surviving to thriving and we are inspired by their tenacity and strength.

Freedom and Fashion's "REIGN" Is a fashion line created by youth overcoming homelessness, trafficking, and other injustices. For 12 weeks Freedom and Fashion's young designers worked on telling a story of strength and overcoming. The event was held on December 10, 2016 CTRL Collective in DTLA.

Freedom and Fashion, a non-profit focused on using the arts, fashion and beauty and empowerment programs that mentor, love and bring freedom to at-risk young women and survivors of the sex trade and human-trafficking. A portion of our proceeds, time or service will forever long to be donated to empowerment change makers throughout our lifecycle.

At Privileged Butik, we believe in the importance of civic responsibility and using our influence to impact and strengthen our communities, empower and enrich the lives of others. Therefore, we will always commit to giving our time, effort, energy and a portion of our proceeds to a few different community partners.
